Priorities

It is true lately, that our veterans have not been respected or have had their service honored as they should. All veterans who have shed blood, sweat, or tears for our country should be able to live out the rest of their lives worry free. Sean has already planned an agenda to give back to the veteran community. This is so they will never have to worry about the amount of money they have coming in, or lose sleep over paying bills. Sean is prepared to introduce a bill to Congress that will help all United States Veterans, and give them the means to never dwell on personal finances again.

Our "Boys in Blue" are the backbone and security for all America. Police should always make a City or Town feel more secure. Officers risk their lives everyday and we must give them the respect they have earned and deserve.

With more funding to our Police Departments we can give all our officers the training they deserve and give all Police Officers the means and ability to not only keep our streets safe, but keep themselves safe on that next call. Sean will go to bat for our "Boys in Blue" and by doing this not just keep Officers safe, but keep our towns and cities more safe and secure as well.

America continues to remain healthy with the help of our farmers. The Farmers of America continue to lose profits from droughts, floods, and other climate changes. Not only do these hard working farmers lose profits to climate change, they also lose profits to unhealthy processed foods being shipped from overseas, that are cheaper because of the large deduction in quality.

Our Farmers of America need and deserve help. If there is no sales tax on produce, then there should be no income tax on earned income from produce. Sean will fight to give Farmers the break they deserve and need.

According to the latest available data, those who use guns in violent crimes rarely purchase them directly from licensed dealers; most guns used in crime have been stolen or transferred between individuals after the original purchase. More than 80% of crimes committed with a gun, the person committing the crime does not own the gun being used in the crime.

Sean supports America's 2nd Amendment Right. However, Sean will fight for harsher punishments on those that illegally obtain guns or own guns that are not registered to them. Sean will also fight to put funding into identifying the source of where illegal guns are coming from, and end the progressing homicide rate.

Sean is a firm believer that our children are next in line to inherit our great Country and we can help them succeed or fail based on our actions. We need to ensure all children receive the education they deserve without any discrimination.

Our Teacher Union is need of total repair, however Sean will support the teachers in the classroom that will continue protecting our children and giving them the education they need to become top contributors of our society. Sean will also continue to fight to make sure all parents are heard.

In 2019, New Jersey broke records bringing in nearly 5% more visitors than the prior year and totaling over 116 million people. Visitor spending increased 3.8% to $46.4 billion, generating upwards of $5.1 billion in state and local taxes.

Sean fully supports New Jersey's Division of Travel and Tourism and their dedicated work to continue increasing tourism in South Jersey. As long as we stay focused on this continued trend we will continue making new jobs and creating better lives for all residents of South Jersey.

As a Union member and a small business owner, Sean is ready to create more jobs throughout all of South Jersey. Sean believes everyone deserves a livable wage that will not force families to think about which bills to pay next.

South Jersey's public transit system is in need of an expansion. By expanding our public transit system, we can create more jobs and give everyone the opportunity to find work that is not centralized to their location. This would also help to reduce costs and would be helpful to our environment.

The American Rescue Plan has had a great start, but is only temporary. Sean will fight to have a like-minded program instituted permanently.

Sean is a large supporter of our Unions. Our unions focus on equality. Equal pay, benefits, and training to all of its members. Our Unions are the backbone of this country and we will continue to help them succeed.

Sean will continue to protect women’s health care and believes health care decisions should be made by a woman and her doctor. Politicians have no business being involved in this process.

Statistics show that women working full-time make 82 cents to every dollar a man earns. We need to ensure that women are paid equally for equal work, and Sean will strongly support measures like the Paycheck Fairness Act to ensure we continue making progress for women.

New Jersey does have a strong paid family leave program. However, Sean wants the federal government to ensure that nobody ever has to choose between a child and their job. The United States is the only developed country in the world that has not put a federal paid family leave program in place, and Sean will be there to help institute one.

This year has been extremely hard in South Jersey. With rising sea levels and climate catastrophes we must make a change in order to keep everyone's homes and families safe.

Hurricane Sandy and even Tropical Storm Ida showed us the effects that climate change can have in South Jersey. To prevent the continued weather events in the future, Sean will fight for a strong infrastructure investment to create a more green economy in South Jersey.

Sean is a large supporter and friend to our LGBTQ+ community. With anti-LGBTQ+ legislation making its way through all of our states, Sean knows the Equality Act must be passed to protect all Americans from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

Many ethnicity's have been discriminated against, and have not been able to have their voices heard in Congress. Sean plans to change that, and fight for the Civil Rights of all ethnicity's in our Nation that need their voices listened to. Latin(Italian) Americans are one of those ethnicity's that need to have their voices noted.

Latin(Italian) Americans are a suppressed minority in America. Mal-representation will continue to ensure Latin Americans are marginalized, suppressed and ignored while members of the Italian community look to be any ethnicity other than the “wrong ethnicity”. Italians are, unconstitutionally, denied the same civil rights as white Latinos based on the lie of Italians being “non-Hispanic white”.

We've fought so hard in Congress for Civil Rights of other ethnicity's but some how left out one of the biggest ethnicity's in American History. Latin(Italian) Americans deserve correct representation and a voice to be heard. Sean will fight for the Civil Rights of all Italian Americans in Congress.

Environmental justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations and policies.

Growing up in South Jersey, Sean has seen the environmental injustice that plagues our region. Many of our cities and towns have been neglected and Sean will fight to create programs to help save these cities and towns. Sean will also seek damages for those residents that have been living in areas that have not received fair treatment.

Public policy impacts people with mental illness in many ways — from health care to housing to criminalization. Changes in policy can result in improved treatments, increased access to services and better outcomes for people with mental health conditions.

Sean believes that all people with mental health conditions deserve accessible, affordable and comprehensive health care. All people with mental health conditions deserve access to supports that promote wellness. All people with mental health conditions who are incarcerated deserve access to quality mental health treatment. Sean also believes no one should be subjected to practices that can cause or worsen mental health symptoms.

Equity in a workplace means everyone receives respectful and dignified treatment. There's a transparency to cause and effect, and everyone knows what to expect in terms of consequences and rewards. When equity exists, people have equal access to opportunities. Sean will continue the struggles and support for job equity for everyone.

Today, middle-class earners in New Jersey pay a greater share of their incomes to state and local taxes than the state’s highest earners. By adding a 1% tax to anyone earning over $250,000, the state income tax code would become fairer, ensuring budgets are no longer balanced on the backs of middle-class families. Sean believes that our middle-class earners are already paying more than their fair share in New Jersey and will do everything in his power not to allow a middle-class tax increase.
